Salad all the time!

I love a good salad on a hot day.

This salad is: tender, delicious romaine, diced mushrooms, julienned carrots, tofu marinated and sauteed in teriyaki sauce, corn and sliced almonds.

I toss with a little olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt and pepper. You can't go wrong! From now on, I'm only making a dressing for special dinners. A little light mix of oil and vinegar is perfect for a hot summer day.

That salad looks good, perfect for a hot day.

And...I tagged you! You have to post six things about yourself on your blog. You can find the rules on my blog.

I realized recently that I hate the word "tender" to describe food (though no offense to you, because it didn't bother me when you used it, it just reminded me that I hate it other times). Especially used in conjunction with "delicious". I think this is because it's so often used in obnoxious commercials. Anyway, if it's just "tender blah blah" that's okay usually, but "tender, delicious blah blah" or any synonym for "delicious"...

Yet another weird quirk brought to you by your older sister. ;)

I usually use a bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar as dressing. It's perfect and simple!
